Destinee + Jalen
Destinee sent me the best email about their elopement plans: “we want to go stone hounding, and have beer and cake on the beach,” and as soon as I read that, I knew this would be a dream of a day with two water and rock enthusiasts! We met at their Airbnb at 5am, as Destinee and Jalen got dressed, and gathered things for their beachside picnic elopement. I was looking around the living room, and some spare fabric caught my eye…then I saw a sewing machine, and her dress. She made her freakin’ dress! Mic dropped.
After they were ready, we made our way to a small roadside park to catch the sunrise. We looked for rocks, and dipped our feet into the water, then headed up Old Mission to meet their officiant, and get them married! The two exchanged private vows, and I was able to act as their witness, which made this day all the more meaningful for me to capture.
