Danielle + Noah

Like so many other couples this season, this wasn’t the original plan for Danielle and Noah’s wedding. I wasn't even their original photographer, but dammmnnn, I’m so happy I was able to capture their magaical day.

As an adventure photographer in Northern Michigan, this day was an absolute dream to photograph. They said “I do”, on top of a bluff with Mama Lake behind them, and ate dinner and danced as the sun went down. It can’t get any more beautiful than that!

Not to mention, Danielle and Noah were some of the most fun, chill, people I’ve ever met. Danielle works for NASA (talk about cool), and they love to spend their date nights painting, and working in a ceramic studio. Annnddd, they have a Bernese Mountain Dog named Kevin, who is such a good boy (insert squeaky crazy dog lady voice)!

We started the day off with a first look on the bluff, and ended the night as the sun set on Lake Michigan. This dream of a wedding day couldn’t have been possible without their supportive family and friends, and a kick ass team of talented Northern Michigan vendors (linked below!).

Here are a few of my favorite details from their wedding:

Their vows: Instead of traditional vows, they opted to write their own, and say them together, instead of one after the other.
Their first dance and parent dances: Kevin took the stage, need I say more?
Their wedding favors: Each guest was able to take home a vase made by the couple.

And a piece of advice, if you see a stuffed coyote for sale on the side of the road in rural Michigan, you should probably get it. It might be one of the most memorable details on your wedding day.
