Britt + Joel
The first time I met Britt, she said she and Joel were open to whatever the day would bring, which is seriously the best mindset to have about your wedding! These two said “I do” during an intimate ceremony surrounded by their nearest and dearest in downtown Traverse City. Every detail was so personal. and I couldn’t believe the support that came from their friends. Everyone in their community came together to get these crazy kids married, and their love for each other is present in every photograph.
I wouldn’t be your resident Michigander without talking about the weather—because damnnn, it was 75 degrees in mid September! Britt and Joel danced outside until the sun went down, and moved the party inside when it started to storm. We even snuck away just before the rain, to grab some photos on West Bay.

Their first look: we met at the park where they got engaged! I always recommend incorporating a significant spot into your wedding timeline.
Their community: one of their friends DJed (is that even a word?), and one made their dessert bar! They even surprised Britt and Joel with a bubble filled entrance into their reception.
Their reception: was a simple gathering of all their loved ones in a backyard.
