Hi, I’m Sarah,

Your resident Northern Michigan lover and adventure photographer. I fell in love with photography because of need to document and preserve what’s around us. I studied documentary photography at U of M with David Turnley, and now help couples seal in their memories through photographs. I always have my favorite locations saved, and genuinely love that I’m able to live my daydream, and connect with adventurous souls through my work.

I’m not afraid to run or climb to get the best angle, get into the water, or spend the extra time it takes to create photographs that tell your story. Whether you’re having an intimate ceremony on the lakeshore, or throwing a wild dance party in an orchard, I’ll document your connection and intimacy while having a hell of a good time!

  • I am your dream location detective! I scout every spot, as well as a few backups, so we are not scrambling on the big day! I coordinate the timeline of the whole day, so you don’t have to looking at the time, and can fully embrace every moment.

  • I have friends! And can recommend local florists, caterers, hair and makeup artists, officiants, and anyone else you need.

  • I’m only just an email or text away! I’m here for anything you might need, including recommendations or just a friend to listen.

  • I am genuinely so excited you are here and are eloping! Also, did I mention I have three dogs, and can help with yours during our adventure?

  • I love offering sessions for all of my couples, so we can hang out and become besties before you say “I Do.” I find that couples are more relaxed the day of, and we get to have a bonus adventure together! If you are coming from out of town, we can even schedule this a day or two before the wedding.

And…you won’t find many photographers that do this!

After “I do,”:

I deliver a huge sneak peek of your wedding photos within 48 hours of our time together! I love to send sneak peeks so quickly because you can share them with loved ones that couldn’t be apart of your day AND savor the “we just got married” high.

Before “I do,”:
I’m sure you’re feeling a little stressed about entertaining your family, or spending time finding all the best spots in Northern Michigan. That’s why I also send a travel guide, so you don’t have to spend extra time on google or looking for the best beer in town. I want you to be free of stress and just focus on your wedding!

Feel free to ask anything! But hopefully this is a good starting point.

  • I create a private online gallery, where you can share and download high resolution photos and purchase prints.

    Sessions can expect 60-80 finished photos in their gallery, while weddings should expect 60-80 for every hour we spend together.

  • I share a small sneak peek (about 10 photos for sessions, and 100 for weddings), within 48 hours after our time together. After that, session turnaround time is 3 weeks, and weddings are 6 weeks.

  • Absolutely! While most of my weddings are in Northern Michigan, we are always down for a road trip or adventure abroad. Contact me for a destination price guide.

  • Absolutely! But always down to explore somewhere new. When getting details for your session, I am happy to share and suggest our go to spots.
